"As a high school teacher, I am constantly looking for ways to engage my students and make content as relatable as possible. I was always so impressed by how this generation of students has mastered the skills connected to technology and have truly made it a part of their everyday lives. SEED was first established because I felt the need to heighten the level of engagement in my classroom by making lessons collaborative and relevant to students. I wanted to create lessons that they would look forward to and would enjoy participating in. Additionally, I noticed a common narrative amongst teachers and administration in which we reprimand our students for using their personal devices due to the distraction they cause. I wanted to utilize the resources I knew were available to our school community, without having to worry about my students being off task. By incorporating SEED Classroom into our schools, the narrative inside classrooms would change. SEED allows us to encourage technology effectively and enhances the way students learn."
